There are steps you take to remove the tar and it's easy. The following helps you remove the tar and prevent further irritation of the skin:

1. PREVENT FURTHER SKIN DAMAGE

If hot tar comes into contact with your skin, or if you feel like it's burning your skin, run some cold water on the affected area to cool it down. This prevents further damage and causes immediate pain relief. You may also want to take some analgesia like aspirin to help control the pain. Then once the pain has eased off, move to step two.

2. REMOVE THE TAR WITH A SOLVENT

Look for any oil-based household product. You may have one of the following:
  • Baby oil

  • Olive oil

  • Coconut oil

  • Vegetable oil
Pour the oil on the affected part, making sure you completely cover the affected area. Here you apply drops of the oil buy you have to be generous with it. Leave it to work on the tar for 15 to 20 minutes then gently peel off the tar. Wash the area with clean, soapy water, or an antiseptic solution if there is skin erosion. If any tar remain scrub gently with baking soda to exfoliate the skin.

3. CARE FOR THE AFFECTED SKIN
